I have my first draft map! I have uploaded my GPS points and created my education centers layer. I added a base map to get an idea of what the final product will look like but the coordinate system seems a little off.
The next step is for me to upload these pieces to ArcGIS Online and make my final map. I also plan on adding a layer that represents habitat types through out Rhode Island. I will also need to format the attribute pop-ups. I also need to do this by April 22nd because I got an email informing me that my trial period account is about to close.
There are still many pieces that need to come together before this project is finalized but I am confident it will all come together.
Julia, it's great to see a visual! Your map looks pretty good so far... the only critique I have is to change the color of the states layer to a slightly darker hue. The white background is difficult to see. Perhaps even a light green or light tan would work better. I look forward to seeing the online version!
